1/11/26-Day 1
My God: Receiving Him by Faith
Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
“And without faith it is impossible to please God.”
In a world where many people share secondhand experiences, speak of other gods, and multiply opinions with viewpoints that are as varied as they are limited, a common mistake arises: trying to fit a great, sublime, and divine God into the narrow mold of human knowledge self-centered, finite, and lacking true wisdom.
But everything begins with faith. Faith is the essential bridge that allows us to accept and receive the supernatural. Genuine faith, anchored in the true God, opens the doors to divine understanding, revealing realities that go beyond human comprehension. A life of faith is truly wonderful: it not only opens our eyes to the heavenly, divine, and supernatural, but also invites us to live in that eternal dimension where heaven touches earth in everyday life.
Today’s verse, Hebrews 11:6, reminds us clearly: “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” To uncover the identity of God His eternal nature, infinite power, and unfailing love we need that very faith, brought to life through a personal and transforming encounter with Him.
The Bible presents countless facets of God: His boundless holiness, His perfect justice, and His redeeming grace. Many of these surpass human reasoning, because He is a supreme Being, infinitely greater than our limited minds. Trying to reduce Him to our ideas is like trying to contain the ocean in a cup.
As God’s greatest creation, we were designed for this passionate pursuit of Him my God to know His heart, reflect His image, and live in full communion. But the enemy distracted us with shadows and lies, pulling us away from His light. Today, by faith, we return to Your loving arms, ready to rediscover who we are in You.
On this day of fasting and prayer, dedicated to the identity of God and to proclaiming, “This is my God!”, I encourage you to cultivate and increase your faith. Jesus taught us that faith the size of a mustard seed small yet powerful is enough; however, it cannot remain stagnant. It must grow, take root, and become a flourishing tree that provides shade and produces abundant fruit for the glory of God.
Action of the Day
Pray out loud:
“Lord, today I receive You by faith as my sovereign God.”
Then write a personal prayer of commitment and cry out to the Lord:
“Increase my faith, so that I may behold how great, glorious, and majestic You are, my God.”
May this prayer lead you into a wonderful experience where intimacy with Him produces a new identity within you—the identity of a beloved child, an eternal heir, and a living reflection of His glory. And may your heart declare with joy and conviction: “This is my God!”
In Him, you will find not only identity, but eternal purpose.
Amen.
