DAY 10 - 1/20/26

Your True Identity (The Divine DNA)

Jeremiah 1:4–5 (NBLA)
“Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.’”

Have you ever wondered who you really are? Not what the mirror reflects or what others think, but what God saw in you even before your birth. Understanding your identity in Christ is crucial, because it affects every aspect of your life. God knows you deeply and created you with a specific purpose.

Think about DNA: that essential information that defines every part of your being. In 1953, it was discovered that deoxyribonucleic acid contains the code of who you are your appearance, your traits, and much more. This tiny code is like a manual that says, “This is your essence.” But there is something even more extraordinary: God has given you a divine DNA, one that reflects His own nature.

Your identity in Christ is not limited to what you inherited from your parents. It comes directly from the heart of God, made in His image. Romans 8:16 (NBLA) says: “The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.” You are part of the royal family of the King! This divine DNA awakens special gifts in you, such as teaching the Word, singing praises, or serving others. God says, “I knew you before I formed you, and I made you for something great.”

However, sin has altered our original identity, like a virus contaminating what is pure. Just as cancer damages DNA, sin can make you feel lost, bound by addictions, painful memories, or a past life that hardly lets you move forward. God does not leave you in a broken state (with a distorted identity). He loves you and has plans for restoration.

Jesus is your liberator. With His blood, He cleanses that damaged DNA, removing your sins and restoring your original essence. John 1:12 (NBLA) confirms: “But to all who received Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

Today, that divine code beats strongly within you: you are loved, called, and free. Do not say, “I am too young” or “I am not good enough”; God restores you with His power. Embrace who you are: a child of God, with a unique purpose that only you can live out.

Prayer of the Day
Good Father, thank You for showing me my true identity as Your beloved child, created in Your image. Forgive what sin has altered in me, and awaken the gifts You have placed in my life. Set me free through the blood of Jesus to fully live my identity. Amen.

Action of the Day
Look within: what “new” gift do you feel has awakened in you such as preaching or creating something for God? Write it in a simple sentence: “In God, I am blessed, and I will go wherever He sends me.” Say it out loud, pray for strength, and share it with someone today. Feel how your divine DNA is activated into action!
