DAY 21
Identity and Expansion of the Church
Today we conclude our 21 days of fasting and prayer. It has been a wonderful journey, filled with the presence of God. We are already beginning to hear testimonies of what He has done in lives, families, and in the church. Glory to God!
Isaiah 54:2–5 (NIV)
“Enlarge the place of your tent,
stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
strengthen your stakes.
For you will spread out to the right and to the left;
your descendants will dispossess nations
and settle in their desolate cities.
Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth
and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
For your Maker is your husband—
the Lord Almighty is his name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
he is called the God of all the earth.”
Today, the word God gives us is expansion, growth, and forward movement.
It is difficult to move forward when we carry fear in our hearts or when we remain rigid in our way of thinking and acting. But God calls us to let go of what holds us back and to enlarge our vision, our faith, and our testimony.
This church in Fontana and Yucaipa will continue to grow. We already see it in the Spirit: great things are happening. God is moving His hand, opening doors, healing lives, raising up new leaders, and multiplying what seems small in willing hands.
Remember this:
Divine vision brings direction and removes confusion (Proverbs 29:18).
Jesus challenges us to think big, as when He multiplied the loaves and the fish (Luke 9).
God promises abundant provision when we put Him first (Malachi 3:10).
Faith expands in the midst of trials, like the woman who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment.
If we do not use what God gives us, He will place it in other hands (Matthew 25).
The Holy Spirit empowers us to be witnesses, beginning in our own city (Acts 1:8).
This is not only about growing in numbers, but about growing in identity: we are the Church of Christ, called to expand His kingdom with courage, teamwork, and active faith.
Today, as we close this fast, God tells us:
“Enlarge the place of your tent… do not hold back.”
It is time to lengthen cords, strengthen stakes, and prepare for what is coming!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for these 21 days of fasting and prayer. Thank You for what You have done in each of us and in this church. Today we declare that we release all fear and rigidity.
Enlarge our vision, multiply our faith, and make us courageous to move forward.
Bless this church in Fontana and Yucaipa. May it continue to grow with strength; may we see great things take place; may Your name be glorified in every family and throughout our city.
Fill every heart with Your Holy Spirit so that we may be faithful witnesses.
In the name of Jesus, amen.
Action of the Day
Share with someone (a brother, friend, or family member) a brief testimony of what God did in you during these 21 days.
Pray specifically for the growth of the church in Fontana and Yucaipa: ask for vision, leaders, and provision.
Decide on one concrete step of personal expansion: invite someone to a service, give an extra offering, or commit to serving in an area.
Write in your journal a faith declaration:
“God, enlarge my tent. I am ready for the great things that are coming.”
Congratulations on completing these 21 days! May God’s expansion continue over your life and over this beautiful church. Let us move forward together.
With God, you never lose, you always win.
