DAY 11 - 1/21/26

The Furnace Forges Our Identity

Key Verse: Jeremiah 18:4 (NBLA)
“And the vessel of clay that he was making was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make.”

The believer’s life is like the process the potter follows with the clay. God has a wonderful plan for each of us. However, our hearts often harden, and we resist being shaped by the Creator. This can lead us away from His path, into the comfort of an easy life without responsibility and without considering that we may one day face difficulties.

He has a beautiful idea of who He wants us to be, but we must allow Him to shape us. It is not about our form, but about the divine design He has prepared for us.

God invites you to open yourself to His transformation. He says, “Let Me place My hands on your life. Allow Me to fix the mess and confusion. Let Me work on your character.” We are not copies or clones; we are originals in the hands of the divine Artisan. Therefore, we must be moldable, teachable, and flexible. Remember: the one who learns quickly and puts what is learned into practice has an advantage.

During this time of fasting and reflection, you have the opportunity to change and grow. The faster you act on what God is showing you, the sooner you will receive the miracles you have been waiting for. If you become rigid, stubborn, or obstinate, God, in His love, has ways of breaking you and giving you the opportunity to start again.

God desires to work in every area of your life: spirit, soul, and body. He wants your body to obey the spirit, and your soul your emotions to submit to His will. This is how true unity is formed within you.

The potter asks: “Can I not do with you as this potter does?” We must allow Him to shape us, and for that to happen, there is a crucial step: the fire of the furnace. Clay gains strength through fire. In the purification process, when the vessel is exposed to temperatures above 2,400 degrees, it is purified and takes shape.

Like clay, our lives go through trials and tribulations that, although difficult, are necessary for our formation. These “furnace” moments make us stronger and allow us to discover our true identity in Christ. Allow yourself to be shaped and purified; let God fulfill His purpose in you.

Prayer
Lord, help me to be moldable in Your hands. Forgive my resistance and hardness. Help me understand that purification processes are part of my growth. I want to be a strong vessel in You. Amen.

Action of the Day
Reflect on an area of your life where you need to be shaped by God. Write it down and share it with someone in prayer. What steps can you take today to allow God to work in you? Remember, the fire may be difficult, but it is necessary for your true identity to shine. Trust the process!
