DAY 17

The Liberating Identity

Romans 8:21, 28
“For the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God… And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

As the Church, our identity is not defined by the crises we face, but by the redemptive purpose for which we were created: to be agents that liberate creation from its bondage. In this great divine project, our authority flows from a life built in the Kingdom of God, established on the solid Rock of His Word. Let us learn to grow in the midst of these realities the groaning of creation and the great spiritual opportunities not trapped in problems, but capturing the power of the solution that Jesus brought to the earth.

The Church can fall into two traps: locking itself into messages centered on human problems, identifying only with pain, or rising up to understand God’s problem the sin that subjected creation to corruption. You were created to be a redemptive agent; because of you, evil can be restrained in a city, an earthquake can be avoided, or prophetic events can be altered. When you live with this sense of purpose, all things work together for good, because you love God and respond to His calling. But you cannot claim these promises without context: your freedom as a child of God is the key to the glorious freedom of creation (Romans 8:21). Let us not take verses out of context; God formed you because your life of purity and agreement with His will directs families, cities, and nations toward redemption.

Ladies and gentlemen, let us build our lives, because creation is groaning. Let us speak of God not from the problem, but from the solution: Jesus, the Liberator. In the Church, our authority is activated when we think less individually and more about what God thinks of us in His great project. Let us reject evil not by our own strength, but by faith in our identity as sons and daughters who bring freedom. Prophetic warning: if we view the gospel or the Church in the wrong way focused on the small we will be hindered from seeing the eternal purpose. Your problems are not the greatest thing on the earth; the greatest thing is discovering that you were created for a cause: to restrain evil, because creation was subjected due to the sin of man. Live in purity, hear the groan, and act with redemptive authority. May these lines break something in the spiritual realm and may the Word fall upon your spirit.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I declare my identity as a redemptive son in Your Church. I build my life in Your Kingdom, upon the solid Rock of Your authority, renouncing every problem-centered mindset. I hear the groaning of creation and align myself with Your great project: I release glorious freedom over my family, city, and nation. May all things work together for good in my life, because I love Your purpose and am called according to it. Break chains of corruption; restrain evil because of Your Church. I think as You think of me: as an agent who brings solutions, not problems. Activate my faith to capture spiritual opportunities and to restrain evil. Amen.

Action of the Day:
Identify a “spiritual opportunity” in your surroundings today a problem in your family, workplace, or community that is groaning for redemption. Instead of focusing on the pain, speak a biblical solution to someone involved (for example, declare Romans 8:21 over a family member in crisis). Write down how God uses your words to edify, and share the testimony with a brother or sister in the faith at the end of the day. Be the redemptive agent God designed you to be!
